Honey Testing at AsureQuality Singapore

You are invited to a joint educational presentation from AsureQuality and the UMF® Honey Association. This presentation aims to provide you information on how you can have honey tested through the AsureQuality Singapore Laboratory.


The testing available will initially be the following:

• Non-Peroxide Activity using the chemical marker methylglyoxal and/or the well diffusion assay
• Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF)
• Moisture content

Detection of adulteration and testing of additional quality standards will be introduced as soon as it becomes available.

Some of the key messages that we will be sharing are:

• What the NPA standard is i.e. Phenol equivalent
• What is UMF® as a quality standard
• The correlation between methylglyoxal and NPA
• The volume of product available at each NPA value
